Dashboard Tour
When you first log in to The Archiver, you'll see the Dashboard — the central hub of your archive. Here's a quick tour of what you'll find.
The sidebar
The left-hand sidebar contains the main navigation:
- Dashboard — your home screen with recent activity and stats
- Accessions — all your uploaded batches of files
- Fonds — your archival hierarchy (collections, series, sub-series)
- Search — full-text search across your entire archive
- Dossiers — thematic research folders
- Explore — AI research chat
- Settings — your profile, AI instructions, and plan details

Fonds and Dossiers are available on paid plans only. If you're on the free tier, you'll see an upgrade prompt when you click these sections.
The Dashboard home screen
The main area shows:
Stats strip
At the top, you'll see your current usage — how many items you've processed this month, how much storage you're using, and how many items remain in your allowance.
Recent accessions
A list of your most recently uploaded batches (called Accessions). Click any accession to open it and see its files.
Draft accessions
Accessions you've started but not yet completed appear here. You can pick up where you left off.
Top bar
The top bar contains:
- Search — click the magnifying glass to search your entire archive instantly
- Your account menu — click your avatar to access settings, view your plan, or log out
