Quick Analysis vs. Full Analysis
A dossier has an AI Analysis panel on its detail page with two buttons: Quick Analysis (gold) and Full Analysis (purple). They produce different outputs, take different time, and have different plan availability.

Quick Analysis
A fast, overview-level summary. Treats the dossier holistically and produces an essay-style narrative.
| Duration | 30–60 seconds |
| Best for | First-pass orientation when you don't know what's in the dossier yet, or under ~50 items |
| What it produces | Narrative summary, top themes, headline figures (date range, item count, dominant categories) |
| Plans | Professional / Team / Enterprise |
Re-run as often as you want; runs are cheap.
Full Analysis
A comprehensive, multi-section research-grade output. Treats the dossier as a research subject and produces nine distinct block types.
| Duration | 3–10 minutes |
| Best for | Dossiers of 50–500 items where you need depth, or material you'll publish from |
| What it produces | Narrative + Timeline + Quotes + Entity Cards + Connections + Findings + Comparisons + Gaps + Research Questions (see Reading your results) |
| Plans | Enterprise only |
Full Analysis uses a more capable model and a longer reasoning budget. It optionally includes an Intelligence Boost for the highest-effort runs — a deeper review pass that costs an additional credit but produces noticeably better synthesis.
Decision matrix
| If… | Use… |
|---|---|
| You just made the dossier and want to know what's in it | Quick |
| You're producing a research report for publication | Full |
| The dossier is under 20 items | Quick |
| The dossier contains hundreds of items | Full |
| You want a "second opinion" on a hypothesis | Quick (cheap, repeatable) |
| You're on Professional or Team | Quick (Full is Enterprise-only) |
Re-running and versioning
Every analysis run produces a timestamped version. Earlier versions stay accessible from the History dropdown in the analysis panel. Useful for:
- Comparing how the model reads the dossier before vs. after you added new items
- Auditing your final report by reviewing the analysis it came from
Old versions are kept for 90 days on Professional / Team and permanently on Enterprise.
Costs and quotas
- Quick Analysis counts as 1 research session against your monthly research quota (Pro: 20/mo, Team: 50/mo).
- Full Analysis is Enterprise-only and unmetered.
- Intelligence Boost on Full counts as an additional research session.
Re-running an analysis after editing the dossier counts as a new session.
Tips
- Refine your dossier before running Full Analysis. It's the more expensive run; do quick prunes first so it focuses on the right material.
- Read Quick first, decide whether you need Full. Often Quick is enough.
- Use the institutional context in Profile → AI & Defaults. It dramatically improves how the analysis reads to your audience.
