Inviting Team Members

Admins can invite anyone to join their Organisation in The Archiver. Here's how.

Inviting members requires the Team or Enterprise plan, and you must be an Admin.

How to invite someone​

  1. Go to Settings (click your avatar → Settings)
  2. Click the Organisation tab
  3. Click Invite member
  4. Enter the person's email address
  5. Select their role — Admin, General, or Viewer (see Roles & Permissions)
  6. Click Send invitation

An email is sent to the invited person with a link to accept the invitation.

What happens next​

The invited person will receive an email from The Archiver with a link to accept the invitation.

  • If they already have an account, they click the link and are added to the organisation immediately
  • If they don't have an account, they're prompted to create one first, then they're added

Once accepted, they can log in and access the shared archive.

Tracking pending invitations​

Invitations that haven't been accepted yet appear in the Invitations section of the Organisation settings. You can see who's been invited, when, and whether they've accepted.

Resending an invitation​

If the invite email didn't arrive (check spam folders first!):

  1. Go to Settings → Organisation → Invitations
  2. Find the pending invitation
  3. Click Resend

Cancelling an invitation​

To cancel a pending invitation before it's accepted:

  1. Go to Settings → Organisation → Invitations
  2. Find the invitation
  3. Click Cancel invitation

The invitation link will no longer work.

Removing a member​

To remove someone from your Organisation:

  1. Go to Settings → Organisation → Members
  2. Find the member
  3. Click the ⋮ menu next to their name
  4. Select Remove member
  5. Confirm

Removing a member immediately revokes their access to the archive. They will not be notified automatically — let them know beforehand if appropriate.

The removed member's contributions (uploaded files, Accessions, Dossiers) remain in the archive. Their content is not deleted.

If you've reached your member limit, you'll need to upgrade to add more people.
